Storytelling is easy until you try it!

Telling a good story ain't easy. Telling a great story that sticks is even harder.

Not everyone is a natural storyteller. But the STICKY Stories training can guide you there and streamline your learning curve.

Start to approach storytelling like a top TEDster and ensure your stories stick!

Draw your audience in with a good story!

In this 7-week course, you'll learn how to connect with your audience and improve the impact of your communications on stage or screen!

Why create a story that sticks?

What makes BIG IDEAS memorable?

The answer is found in how we process, recall, and share ideas.

The secret? Storytelling.

Specifically, stories that are designed to stick.

Data, research findings, and slide decks don’t move ideas (or imaginations). Research proves it.

Wrapping your idea in sticky story is how it becomes memorable!

The STICKY Stories™ training can get you there.

The training includes:

  • 7 group trainings by Zoom (60-min) with The TED Talk Whisperer (aka, Devin D. Marks)

  • Lessons on what makes a story memorable

  • Deep dives into story shapes and forms

  • Optional homework sheets and "learn more" content

  • 1 solo 45-min session with Devin to rework your story set

  • Live group workshopping and personal Q&A e-feedback

  • Training culminates at a live, in-person event, The More Tales Storytelling Festival in the horse capital of the world — Lexington, KY

For selected participants only.

(Subject to application and approval.)

  • Why is Devin Marks called the TED Talk Whisperer?

Devin earned the moniker “The TED Talk Whisperer” from clients and media outlets alike after decoding why TED Talks are so captivating and spread-worthy.

He has formally studied and deconstructed the tenets of the TED style, identifying the techniques that make top TEDsters so wildly connecting and compelling.

In 2014, he introduced his proprietary STICKY Stories framework. Since then, 100s of leaders have benefited from the power of storytelling, some of whom have given multi-million view TED Talks.

More of Devin’s background can be found here, and on LinkedIn.

  • Will this training prepare me to give a TED Talk?

No. This is not a TED Talk speaker coaching program. It is, however, the first and most critical step in a longer process of TED-style talk preparation. If you want to take it further, you’ll be given suggestions for a number of options (DIY, mini-course, solo coaching, etc.). For example, if you want to deliver a TED-caliber message, we offer a course called the mySHORTtalk training, which is the full-blown, soup-to-nuts course. Devin and his certified coaches also work 1:1 with speakers.

To inquire about the mySHORTtalk course submit your interest here.

  • How long is the training content available? Can I share it with others?

Once you purchase the training, the recordings are yours to access for one year.

We do not allow sharing or transferring access to the training or recorded sessions to someone else. However, If you want to make a gift of the training or train your group, please contact our support team directly at [email protected], or inquire here. Please allow 48 hours for a response, Monday through Friday.

Once your application has been reviewed and accepted, you'll be directed to a payment page in our online learning platform, Thinkific (and if you were given a discount code, this is where you will enter it).
